
Dr. Muirne Spoone
Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at RCSI and Deputy Dean for Interprofessional and Community-Engaged Learning
Dr. Muirne Spooner is a clinical educator, medical doctor, and strategic leader in health professions education with a sustained commitment to inclusion, equity, and interprofessional learning. She earned her MBChBAO from University College Dublin where she attended on a full entrance scholarship.  She holds a postgraduate diploma and PhD in Health Professions Education, with a research focus on feedback literacy, student agency, and cultural transitions in learning. He PhD was shortlisted for the AMEE Doctoral Award, one of only eight globally. Since joining RCSI, she has held multiple leadership roles influencing learning, assessment, access, and wellbeing across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
